Hi my name is Kat! I’m the lash tech at Fait Maison.

As a kid, I always knew I wanted to be a hairstylist, but being a first generation in America, I knew I had to fulfill my parents' wish of getting my degree and a high paying job. So, I did just that... well not all of it. I graduated as an IT and decided that wasn’t the plan for me. A year later, without ever using my degree, I went back to school to get my cosmetology license. That was the start of my dream life; I became a hairstylist.

Around that time in my life I was going through a lot of changes. Changes to prove that there were more to being a stylist. I needed to prove that I could be successful without sitting at a desk, more importantly to be happy about what I was doing. I was basically starting out fresh and decided to move out. I needed to make extra cash to get an apartment. So, I started lashing and ended up falling in love with it and it only grows the more I create a new set. I loved doing what I was doing whether it was for hair or lashes. Since then, I never looked back and kept fighting to get better. Having the balance between the two allowed me to work everyday for months and still loved doing it all. I still got a long way to go to fulfill everything I want to do, but I definitely know I’m on the right track. 

 

If I’m not at Fait or doing hair, it’s very important for me to spend time with my family. So I’m always finding a way to be with them. That’s one of the biggest reasons I love working at Fait, because I’m with people I call family. It’s always a good vibe when I’m with everyone here and it never feels like work. Being surrounded by positivity and love encourages me to be a better artist.

 

To me lashes are not just lashes. I look at everyone’s eyes as a new canvas for me to create something beautiful to add shine to their appearance especially during COVID when all you saw were eyes.  To grow as an artist in all that I do is definitely better when you work along side the people you love as we all hunger for the same goals. So, thank you to all those who helped us along the way, and I can’t wait to meet more of you!
